The Study Institute After-School Program was founded on the premise that parents perform the most important role in the educational experience of their children. We believe that in order for children to receive a good education, parents or some significant person must be available to consistently monitor the academic progress of students and provide the guidance and assistance necessary for them to achieve in school. The Study Institute Centers are designed to reinforce the efforts of students, parents, and teachers.
Functioning as a liaison between the school system and parents, the study institute provides the structure and discipline that is necessary for students to develop excellent study skills, efficient time management, and responsible work habits.
Children can submit completed and corrected homework assignments and still lack the review necessary to receive excellent test scores. There must be additional study time to ensure that students are retaining the information covered in the assigned homework.
The combined effort of our emphasis on homework completion and developing good study skills and work habits, and the additional support that children receive from parents at home is the key to students maximizing their academic potential.
